How summer weeks work at a North Topsail Beach house for 22: Saturday-to-Saturday stays, what to plan, and how to book direct and save 15%.

If you want a summer week at Topsail Island for a big group, plan on a Saturday-to-Saturday stay and book early. At Topsail Paradise, our North Topsail Beach house for up to 22 guests, summer runs by the week from May through September with a 7-night minimum, and booking direct on our site saves 15%.
I'm Dipen, and I host Topsail Paradise myself. Every January the questions start coming in from families who want "the week" next summer, so here is everything I tell them about how summer works here, what to plan, and how to lock in the dates you want.
How do Saturday-to-Saturday weeks work?
From May through September the house has a 7-night minimum, and Saturday-to-Saturday is the pattern we prefer. Check-in is at 4 PM and checkout is at 10 AM. If your group can only travel on another day, ask before you book; another 7-night start day is sometimes possible.
The Saturday rhythm suits big groups. Everyone can drive in on the same day, the grocery run happens once, and the whole crew gets a full week together instead of a rushed weekend.
Why does a big group pick one house over two rentals?
Because the best part of a group trip is the time together, and that's hard when you're split across two houses down the street. Topsail Paradise sleeps 22 in real beds:
- Two master suites, each with a king bed, a private bath and an adjoining kids loft with 3 twin beds.
- Two queen rooms with private baths, which are usually where grandparents land.
- Four more bedrooms (two queens, a bunk room and a double) that share two full baths in pairs.
The main floor holds a full kitchen, a coffee and wine bar nook and a big open family room, and the dining table plus the counter seat about 10 to 12. The full room-by-room layout shows every bed, and our large-group guide walks through how families usually split the rooms.
What does a summer day at the house look like?
Most of our summer guests settle into an easy rhythm:
- Morning: coffee in the bar nook, then walk the two blocks to the beach before the sand gets hot.
- Midday: lunch back at the house and a swim in the private pool, which stays warm from the summer weather.
- Late afternoon: a second beach session, or a nap for the little ones.
- Evening: dinner off the two charcoal grills, then the two hot tubs on the first-floor wraparound deck.
July is the warmest month here, with average highs around 85 degrees, and the ocean averages about 81 degrees in July and August according to Climate-Data.org. For day trips, a fishing morning or a rainy afternoon, see our things to do in North Topsail Beach guide.
What should we know about the beach in summer?
A few Town of North Topsail Beach rules matter most in summer, and they're easy to follow once you know them:
- Take everything home each night. Gear left on the beach between 9 PM and 7 AM is treated as abandoned and removed, per the Town's beach rules.
- Fill in holes deeper than 12 inches before you leave them, and no glass on the beach.
- No personal fireworks. The Town doesn't allow consumer fireworks on the beach. Professional shows happen in nearby towns around the Fourth; my Fourth of July guide covers that week.
- Watch the rip current forecast. The Town's rip current page links to the National Weather Service forecast, which is updated daily.
- Give the sea turtles room. Nesting season runs from mid-May through August, so keep gear at least 20 feet from marked nests and keep lights off the beach at night. Our sea turtle season guide explains why.
How does parking work for a group of 22?
The driveway holds 6 to 8 cars, with more room along the side, so most groups park once and walk to the beach. If you'd rather drive to a beach access, Onslow County runs three free public beach access sites in North Topsail Beach, open 8 AM to 8 PM from April through October. Town lots are paid parking, enforced 9 AM to 5 PM year-round, per the Town's parking page.
Many families add our optional 6-seat golf cart for beach gear and grocery runs. It's an optional add-on, and it's free for military families who book direct. Details are on the golf cart page.
How much does a summer week cost, and how do we save?
Rates change by week, so I don't post them in articles. The booking page shows your full price, with every fee and tax listed, before you pay anything. Booking direct on our site saves 15%, and the FAQ explains exactly how the savings work. Topsail Paradise is also listed on Airbnb and VRBO, and the calendars are synced, so the open dates you see on our site are current.
If you'd like to talk it through first, use Request to book and I'll confirm your dates and send payment instructions.
What should we plan before summer?
- Book the week first, then plan the rest. Summer Saturdays are the first dates to fill.
- Think about travel insurance. Summer falls inside hurricane season, and our policy notes that a storm or a mandatory evacuation isn't by itself a refund of rent. Insurance is optional but worth having from June through November.
- Assign rooms early. Families with young kids love the master-plus-loft suites. The layout page makes it easy to send everyone a plan.
- Plan one big grocery run. The Food Lion in Sneads Ferry is about 13 minutes away, and a ground-floor freezer holds the extras.
Questions, answered
How do summer rentals work at Topsail Paradise?
From May through September the house rents by the week with a 7-night minimum. Saturday-to-Saturday stays are preferred, and other 7-night start days can sometimes be arranged if you ask. Check-in is 4 PM and checkout is 10 AM.
How many people can stay in the house in summer?
Up to 22 overnight guests in 8 bedrooms with 6.5 baths. The count is real beds only, including a bunk room and two kids lofts with twin beds, with no sofa beds.
Is Topsail Paradise on the beach?
No. The house is about a two-block walk to the beach on the quieter north end of North Topsail Beach, so most groups simply walk down with their gear.
Is the pool heated in summer?
Pool heat is not included from May 16 through September 30. In summer the pool is usually warm from the weather alone. Free, self-serve pool heat runs October 1 through May 15.
Is there a golf cart for summer weeks?
Yes, as an option. The 6-seat golf cart is an add-on, and it is free for military families who book direct. Add it on the booking or inquiry form.
When should we book a summer week for a big group?
As early as you can. Summer weeks are the first dates to go, and large groups need time to line up several families. The calendar on our booking page shows every open Saturday.
